We're so happy to have you! Nicheart.online is a place to share art, chat about your favorite anime and manga, and just hang out with fellow fans. To keep things fun and safe for everyone, we have a few rules. Please take a moment to read them below!

Rules & Privacy Info

nicheart.online wants to maintain a friendly community for artists, and general otaku/weeb culture. We will not tolerate our users using the server to promote real life pedophilia or map ideology. All are welcome who can respect this and our rules.

Community Rules

  1. No posting images or videos of real children whatsoever.
  2. Anything more than a meme you could show a cashier employee probably shouldn’t be posted.
  3. Hyper realistic AI could be considered CP under US law, and is not allowed.
  4. map/pedophilia discussions images or captions are generally discouraged and can lead to a ban.
  5. Using the nickname feature to vaguely request sus dms is not allowed. We know what you’re doing, you’re getting banned.
  6. No using the server for griefing, organized harassment/raids/doxing, or spam.
    • This rule is NOT about being crass, speaking your mind in confrontational ways, being a dickhead, you may not be liked, but its not something to be banned from the server for.
    • Antis, spammers, etc are subject to ban though, lol.
  7. Advertising your stuff is generally ok with a few exceptions. If you create something, host a room on matrix, want donations for your work, this is all good.
    • Don’t link to non matrix chat platforms (like a telegram chat).
    • Don’t spam or be overly annoying.
  8. You must be 18 to register, which is legal age in the US. You must consent that I am collecting all of your data and I’m not liable for anything. We do take data security very seriously, however.
  9. Don’t give me a reason to write more rules.
  10. Any rule that doesn’t fall under other rules, falls under this rule.
  11. If you see these rules being broken, you can select the message press the “report” button with details (only if you are a nicheart.online account haver).

Privacy Policy

Pros

  • Your one on one Matrix chats are end to end encrypted and private by default.
  • We do not share user information or use any kind of analytics collecting.
  • We have taken several precautions with server and domain purchases.

Be aware that...

  • Posts made in public Matrix rooms should be considered publicly associated with your chosen username. Rooms are federated, meaning they may be mirrored on other servers as well. Though, deleting your posts may delete on other servers, there is no guarantee.
  • You may delete your account at any time, which will remove ALL information associated with your account, except for posts associated with your username.

How to Join / Create an Account

New Users (on nicheart.online)

If you don't have a Matrix account, you can create one on our server. The easiest way is with Element Web.

  1. Go to Element Web
  2. Click "Create Account".
  3. You will see it defaults to the `matrix.org` homeserver. Click the "Edit" button next to it.
  4. In the "Other homeserver" field, type: nicheart.online
  5. Click "Continue".
  6. You should now see "Create an account on nicheart.online". Follow the steps to register your new account.
  7. To Sign In later: Follow the same steps, but click "Sign In" and choose the `nicheart.online` homeserver.

Users from Other Servers (Federation)

If you already have an account on another Matrix server (like `cutefunny.art`), you can join our public rooms without creating a new account!

In your Matrix client (like Element), find the "Explore Public Rooms" or "Join Room" feature. You must enter the full room address, which looks like:
#room-name:nicheart.online
You will need the specific address for the room you want to join (e.g., `#general:nicheart.online`). Once you join, you'll be federated with our server.

Support / Reporting Abuse

We take the safety and comfort of our community seriously. If you encounter behavior that violates our rules, please report it.

In-Client Reporting

The fastest way to report a specific message is to use your client's "Report" feature. As mentioned in the rules, this is available to users with an account on `nicheart.online`. On Element, you can click the three dots next to a message and select "Report". This sends a notification directly to the server administrators.

Direct Contact

If you need to report a user, discuss a situation in more detail, or have a general support question, please start a direct message (DM) with a server administrator.

When reporting, please include the user's ID (e.g., `@username:nicheart.online`), the room where the incident occurred, and a brief description or screenshots of the behavior.
